invendo medical aims to become a globally leading developer and distributor of sterile, single-use and light-weight HD endoscopy products in the field of gastroenterology and GI surgery.
Innovation activity in gastroenterological endoscopy has in the past decades nearly exclusively focused on the improvement of optical capabilities, while ignoring the challenges associated with proper cleaning and disinfection of endoscopes. The 2008 CDC/Healthcare Infection Control Practice Advisory Committee (HICPAC) Guidelines for Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Facilities states that contaminated endoscopes have been linked to more healthcare-associated infections than any other medical device.
invendo medical addresses this unmet need in endoscopy with the development of sterile single-use HD endoscopes based on its proprietary soft robotics technology to aid healthcare providers and facilities in ensuring patient safety.
Invendo has a senior management team experienced in both healthcare and venture space.
